Old Pulteney, during the Allied Breweries regime for almost a century was known for blending vats – with Gordon & MacPhail bottling small quantities as an 8-year-old single malt but the acquisition by Inver House in 1995 set out to build Old Pulteney as a successful single malt brand achieving strong sales in many international markets.
The distillery has won various awards internationally for its 12,15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 35 year old, Navigator, Duncansby Head, Dunnet Head, Noss Head and Clipper. Old Pulteney 21 Years Old was awarded the World Whisky of the Year in ‘Jim Murray’s 2012 Whisky Bible’.
