“Deep Dive” featuring Bladnoch, Godawan and Birkentree – Dubai, U.A.E

Wrapping our 2022 events, we hosted a fine dining whisky and food pairing experience featuring Scotland’s oldest privately owned distillery – Bladnoch, Diageo India’s artisanal Single Malt Whisky – Godawan and Scotland’s only birch water used as mixer for whisky – Birkentree . Each of the whiskies were paired with food dishes carefully curated by the F&B team of Hunter & Barrel – Emirates Hills to let their unique flavours bloom. 

4 whiskies were offered along with food pairing:

Bladnoch “Vinaya” paired with Honey Vanilla Crepes
Bladnoch “Samsara” paired with Cheese Dip With Toasted French Baguette
Bladnoch “10yo“ paired with US Tenderloin Steak
Bladnoch “Adela 15yo“ paired with Strawberry Sorbet

Owing to our affinity to experiment with the spirits, our guests also had the privilege of tasting “Godawan 01 Rich and Round“, India’s new artisanal single malt whisky from Diageo. Pairing the Godawan with Birkentree Birchwater was an endearing experiment as it’s delicate texture adds a notably smooth and refined finish to the whisky. Birkentree’s signature experience comes from the complex make up within the Birchwater itself. It contains active enzymes which must be reawakened with a vigorous shake of the bottle.
